Competition T&C’s Win a pair of weekend camping tickets to Glastonbury Festival 2019

PROMOTER: This promotion is operated by Co-operative Group Food Limited (‘Co-op’), a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014, Registered No 26715R with registered office at 1 Angel Square, Manchester, M60 0AG. References to “we”, “us” or “our” in these terms and conditions are references to the promoter.

OPENING AND CLOSING DATE: This promotion opens at 11:00 on Friday 3rd May and closes at 23:59 Sunday 12th May. Any entries made before the opening date or after the closing date will not be valid and will not be entered into this promotion.

ELIGIBILITY: This promotion is open to UK residents aged 18 or over. However, employees of the promoter (or any of its group undertakings and its agencies) who are directly connected with the creation and administration of this promotion are excluded from entering this promotion.

HOW TO ENTER: To enter, visit www.food.coop.co.uk/festivaldraw/glastonbury and complete the prize draw form. You must complete your name, email address and answer the following question: ‘What’s the name of the farm where Glastonbury Festival takes place?’ and read and accept the prize draw terms and conditions. All entrants with the correct answer will be entered into the prize draw.

PRIZES: There is one prize to be won in total. The prize includes Standard Access Weekend Camping tickets for two people (2 x tickets in total) for Glastonbury festival (‘Festival’) between Wednesday 26th June 2019 and Sunday 30th June 2019. Prize includes a parking pass if traveling by car.

The prize does not include travel to and from the festival, food and drink, camping equipment, accommodation or travel insurance. The winner will be responsible for supplying their own camping equipment and for all other costs including sustenance and spending money. ID will be required before you are allowed entry to the event and you may be refused entry if you do not provide suitable photographic ID (such as a passport or driving licence).

We may withdraw the prize if circumstances beyond our control make it necessary to do so or if the Festival is cancelled. If the Festival is rescheduled we will notify the winner as soon as reasonably possible and communicate the alternative date to the winner. The promoter will not be liable if the Festival is cancelled or rescheduled. There is no cash alternative to the prize.

TICKETS: Use of tickets and entry to the Festival may be subject to additional terms and conditions of the ticket issuer, event organiser or other third party and by entering this promotion, you agree that you will comply with all relevant terms and conditions for the Festival. Glastonbury Festival Events Limited as the organiser of the Festival also reserve the right to remove the winner (and any guest) if, in the opinion of Glastonbury Festival Events Limited, they are in breach of the terms and conditions of the Festival. Each ticket is not transferrable and cannot be sold or exchanged for cash or be used for some kind of commercial gain. Winners and guests must read the Glastonbury Festival terms and conditions.

WINNER SELECTION: Winners will be drawn by a randomised computer process from the total pool of valid entries made within 3 days after the closing date.

NOTIFICATION: If you win, you will be notified via email within 3 days of choosing the winner. If the winner does not respond to us within 3 days of being notified by us, then the winner's prize will be forfeited and another winner will be picked at random from the remaining eligible entries in accordance with the process described above in clause 7. Please note that we will need details of the ticket holders by May 21st at the latest. If details are provided after this date, the prize will be forfeited and void. We are unable to change the name of guests and any change of person will result in the ticket being invalid. Once the prize has been accepted, the winner will be required to provide a valid UK postal address and the prize will be sent directly before the Festival to their chosen address.

WINNER LIST: Winners names and respective counties of residence (if known) can be obtained by contacting the Co-op Customer Careline on 0800 0686 727 no earlier than 14 days before and 28 days after the closing date of the prize draw. If you do not wish your name and county of residence to be published (if you win) please do not enter this promotion.

DECISIONS OF THE PROMOTER: If there is any dispute about the receipt of validity of any entry or any other aspect of the promotion, this will be decided by us. Our decision regarding any aspect of the promotion is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

AGREEMENT TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Entry to this promotion shall constitute your acceptance of these terms and conditions your agreement to be bound by them. These terms and conditions take effect immediately upon entry to the promotion.

DISQUALIFICATION: We reserve the right to reject any entry, withhold any prize and disqualify you from the promotion if we suspect you of failing to comply with these terms and conditions or of fraud, cheating or dishonesty.

NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ENTRIES NOT RECEIVED: We accept no responsibility for entries not successfully received by us, or which are delayed, due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: Insofar as is permitted by law, we, our agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate you or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize (if you win) except where it is caused by our negligence or the negligence of our agents or distributors or that of our or their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ADMINISTER PROMOTION: We, other members of the Co-operative Group, Glastonbury Festival Events Limited and 3rd party agencies acting on our behalf, may collect personal information from you in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 and other applicable data privacy laws. Except as set out in clause 16 below, we and other members of the Co-operative Group and Glastonbury Festival Events Limited will only use your information for the purposes of administering this promotion.

USE OF PERSONAL AND OTHER INFORMATION FOR PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES: By entering this promotion, you agree that if you win we, other members of the Co-operative Group, Glastonbury Festival Events Limited and 3rd party agencies acting on our behalf may use your entry, name, photo or image, county of residence and any testimonial you have provided to us, for promotional purposes (including on our websites, social media, within our magazines or within promotional emails).

CANCELLATION OR WITHDRAWAL OF PROMOTION: We reserve the right at our absolute discretion to withdraw or cancel this promotion without prior notice and without liability to any party if it becomes necessary to do so.

USE OF PERSONAL AND OTHER INFORMATION FOR FACILITATING THE PRIZE: By entering this promotion, you agree that the information you submitted will be passed to Glastonbury Festival Events Ltd to facilitate the prize. Your data will be processed and handled in accordance with Glastonbury Festival Events Ltd Terms and Conditions.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS: We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Revised terms and conditions will be available at here. It is your responsibility to keep up to date with any such changes.

RELEVANT LAW: This promotion and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts if any dispute arises.

GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL EVENTS LTD TICKET TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1- Tickets are non-refundable after 3rd May 2019 and always non-transferable. From October 2018 you may reserve a ticket for Glastonbury Festival (hereafter “the Festival”) with a deposit of £50. The full balance is due by April 7th 2019. If the balance is not paid by the applicable deadline then the amount you have paid less a £20 administration fee will be repaid to you. If you pay for your ticket in full by the applicable deadline but cancel by 23:59 on 3rd May 2019 you will be reimbursed the value of your ticket less the £20 administration fee. After 23:59 3rd May 2019, no refunds will be made other than in the event of the cancellation of the Festival. Booking fees and postage and packing charges are non-refundable.

2- The artist and performer line-up and all billed attractions are subject to change at any time without notice.

3- The Premises Licence Holder reserves the right to:
(a) refuse admission in any circumstances (b) evict any person breaching the terms and conditions of entry, committing a criminal offence, behaving in a disorderly manner or in a way that has an adverse effect on public safety, or behaving in an anti-social manner or in a way that causes a public nuisance. (c) evict all members of any group of persons where that group is behaving in a persistent anti-social manner. (d) in order to facilitate the security, safety and comfort of all guests the Premises Licence Holder may refuse entry to ticket holders who attempt to enter the licenced Festival site, or any surrounding land used by the Festival (including car parks) that constitutes the Festival footprint, (hereafter the “Festival Site”) with contraband goods and / or prohibited articles. Please refer to www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk for information on items which will not be allowed onsite.

4- Admission is at ticket holder's own risk. Glastonbury Festival Events Ltd and the Premises Licence Holder will not be held liable for any loss, injuries or damages sustained at the event including damage, theft or losses to property and motor vehicles, if the cause is due to the negligence of the ticket holder or the actions of other patrons or third parties or force majeure.

5- Duplicate tickets will not be issued for lost or stolen tickets.

6- Tickets are only valid when purchased from official agents. Tickets bought from other sources will be refused admission.

7- Tickets are personalised to the named ticket holder and may not be:
(a) sold or transferred to another person; or (b) used by any person for promotional purposes, including as a prize or other reward in a competition or lottery, except with the prior written permission of Glastonbury Festival Events Ltd (c) purchased by an agent on behalf of his or her principal.

8- Where a ticket has been obtained in breach of clause 7, the obligations of Glastonbury Festival Events Ltd in relation to the ticket will cease to have effect immediately, in particular: (a) any person presenting the ticket may be refused entrance to, or removed without notice from the Glastonbury Festival (b) the ticket may be confiscated and there shall be no obligation on Glastonbury Festival Events Ltd to refund any monies paid for the ticket.

9- Commercial, promotional and trading activities are not permitted on the Festival Site or without express prior written permission of Glastonbury Festival Events Ltd. Please note Glastonbury Festival Events Ltd will charge a fee for any commercial activity (including filming, photography and recording) on the Festival Site.

10- Entrance to the Festival is subject to both the Festival’s photography policy and broadcaster internet and filming policy which prohibit the use of photographic or filming equipment on the Festival site for commercial gain, without the Festival’s prior written consent; such that:
a) a person may be denied entry to, or removed from the Festival Site if he or she is found in possession of any equipment capable of taking photographs, making films, sound recordings or broadcasts; or if he or she takes any photograph, makes a film, sound recording or broadcast of anything occurring inside the Glastonbury Festival for commercial gain. b) a person may enter the Festival Site with equipment referred to in 10.(a) above where it is integrated into electronic communications apparatus designed for personal private use (such as a mobile telephone) and/or a personal stills camera, but the person may still be removed in accordance with paragraph 10.(a) above if they attempt to use this device for commercial gain.

11- Tickets cannot be used as part of any marketing, media, sales promotion, staff reward programme or general competition use whether commercial or non-commercial without prior written permission of the Festival organisers. The marks Glastonbury and Glastonbury Festival and the Glastonbury Festival logo are registered United Kingdom and European community trademarks and may not be used without the express written permission of Glastonbury Festival Events Ltd.

12- As a condition of sale the ticket holder consents to being filmed, photographed and recorded for television, radio, webcast and other public broadcast in any medium and/or for any video or DVD as part of the audience and/or by any CCTV cameras and recordings operated by or on behalf of and made by or on behalf of Glastonbury Festival Events Limited for public safety and security purposes.

13- Wristbands removed from the wrist or tampered with will be rendered invalid and will not be replaced. Lost or missing wristbands will not be replaced. Those without wristbands will be refused admission to the site or may be removed from the Festival Site. For security purposes this ticket remains the property of Glastonbury Festival Events Ltd at all times and all wristbands issued by Glastonbury Festival Events Ltd remain the property of Glastonbury Festival Events Ltd until 5pm Monday 1st July 2019.

14- Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied to the Festival by a responsible adult (aged 18 or over, who would usually be the parent, carer , legal guardian or other adult entrusted with the care of that child) who accepts full responsibility for all under 16s attending under their supervision.

2- Cars, caravans and campervans require a separate ticket. Please see www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk for more information.

3- Do not buy tickets from street traders or unauthorised agencies. Tickets are security printed and are personal to the ticket holder only. Any attempt to transfer or resell tickets will lead to automatic refusal at the entrance. Beware of forgeries.

4- Glastonbury Festival Events Ltd accepts no responsibility for goods or services purchased from third party traders.

5- Official merchandise will be available onsite. Please don't buy from unlawful street traders.

6- Please only use the toilets and urinals provided. Do not pollute the streams and hedges.

7- Please use the litterbins and recycling points provided.

8- Your vehicle may be searched by security personnel at the vehicle gates on entry to the Festival car parks; in the car parks themselves; or anywhere on the Festival Site.

9- You may be searched in the car parks or at the entrance. Any items which the organisers consider may be used in an illegal or offensive manner shall be confiscated. Persons suspected of carrying out illegal and/or offensive activities onsite may be searched. Anyone resisting confiscation of disallowed items or disregarding these conditions will face eviction from the Festival Site.

10- No animals are allowed onsite, with the exception of registered guide dogs.

11- Fireworks, Chinese/flying lanterns, drones, flares and the burning of plastics are not permitted. Please see the Festival website for details of other prohibited items.

12- To protect your own safety and that of other guests, please act responsibly.

13- Medical treatment at the Festival is provided by Festival Medical Services who are a separate legal entity. Any claims resulting from medical treatment onsite should be directed to Festival Medical Services. Glastonbury Festival Events Ltd accepts no liability for any injury, claim or damages resulting from any medical treatment onsite.

15- Smoking is not permitted in enclosed public areas

16- Glastonbury Festival operates a 'Challenge 21’ policy for alcohol sales. If you look under 21, you will not be served alcohol unless you can prove you are over 18 – by presenting ID, or by wearing a ‘Challenge 21' wristband. Full details can be found on the Festival website.

17- Please note that some areas may have age restrictions for entry. Those wishing to attend must bring suitable ID as proof of age, and parents and responsible adults should ensure that all restrictions are adhered to. For films classified as 18, a 'Challenge 21' policy will apply.

18- Glastonbury Festival Events Ltd does not offer refunds in the event of lost or stolen tickets or where the ticket holder cannot attend the Festival due to reasons beyond the Festival’s control. You might consider it prudent to insure the value of your ticket in the event of such loss.

WARNING: EXCESSIVE EXPOSURE TO LOUD MUSIC MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO YOUR HEARING
